Nova Geo
SITE CONTEXTv1.0.0Real-world site context in SketchUp — terrain, neighbours, aerial, IFC georeferencing.
What Nova Geo does
Nova Geo turns an address or coordinate into a complete, modelling-ready site. Set one geo-anchor and pull in real terrain, the actual neighbouring buildings reconstructed in 3D, draped aerial imagery, roads, and your property boundaries — then export with correct IFC georeferencing. It runs on free public map data, so there are no per-use credits to buy.
Key features
- One geo-anchor locks your model to the real world — every tool reads from it
- Accurate terrain with level-of-detail: a large context surface plus a fine working surface
- Real 3D neighbouring buildings reconstructed from open footprints + lidar (DOM) — gable, hip, mono-pitch and flat roofs, classified from the roof-edge map
- Straight-skeleton roof engine handles rectangle, L, T and U footprints with correct multi-ridge geometry
- Aerial photo drape over the terrain mesh for instant visual context
- Road context from public road data
- Address search (Kartverket + Nominatim) and property-boundary import with axis alignment
- Height-above-sea (MOH), slope and section tools straight in the panel
- IFC georeferencing on export — your model lands in the right place in any BIM tool
How it works
- Open the Nova Geo panel, search an address or drop a coordinate → sets the anchor
- Fetch terrain (context + fine surface) and drape the aerial photo
- Pull neighbouring buildings and roads for real 3D context
- Import property boundaries and align to model axes
- Model your project on the real site, then export with IFC georeferencing
